Mid-Indiana Football recap November 5, 2013

Eastern Hancock extended the longest winning streak in Mid-Indiana Football this week by beating Cambridge City Lincoln, 62-0. The win marks 11th in a row for the the Royals.

Eastern Hancock took down the Golden Eagles 62-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Logan Splater threw for 108 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 43 yards in the win.

Patrick Echeverria's team's dynamic duo of Splater and Spencer Gilbert proved to be unstoppable against Cambridge City Lincoln, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Clayton Brumfield helped Eastern Hancock's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 29 yards.

Brenden Smith provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Indian Creek bested Hamilton Heights. Smith's key target this week was Smith, who caught 2 passes for 46 yards.

Smith was a beast in the backfield as the Braves bested the Huskies.

6-foot-2 quarterback Chris Johannigman of South Decatur is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,310. He has also thrown 6 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Smith. The Indian Creek star has 46 catches for 855 yards.

The Royals led the league in scoring this week by notching 62 points on Phil Renforth's team. Splater ran for 43 yards during the win.
