While Sedro-Woolley's win against Edmonds-Woodway wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cubs skirted past the Warriors 28-25. The Cubs' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Sedro-Woolley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cliff Tadema led the charge by throwing for 242 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. What's more, Tadema racked up 127.5 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Edmonds-Woodway lost on Thursday, don't look at Zach Gizzi. Despite the final result, he picked up 158 receiving yards and one score.

Sedro-Woolley's record is now 5-0. As for Edmonds-Woodway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
