Volleyball Recap: Amanda Elzy Gets the Win

Amanda Elzy proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the O'Bannon Greenwaves. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 on September 4th.

Amanda Elzy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-27, 21-25, 25-22, 15-10.

Amanda Elzy's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for O'Bannon, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Amanda Elzy will challenge rival Humphreys County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, O'Bannon is set to square off against their familiar foe Edwards at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
