Oglethorpe County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Banks County Leopards. One positive for the Patriots, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Banks County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kolby Watson, who went 6 of 11 en route to 22 points. Watson has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Antonio Gonzalez, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds.

Oglethorpe County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Banks County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.

Oglethorpe County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-51 loss against Hart County on the 23rd. As for Banks County, they will be taking part in a tournament against Jasper County at 8:30 p.m. on December 27th. Banks County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.2 points per game this season.
