Soccer Recap: Weslaco East Starts Season with Loss at Home

Weslaco East unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Nixon Mustangs on Monday, falling 5-0. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Wildcats couldn't quite close it out.

The victory got Nixon back to even at 1-1.

Weslaco East will face off against Porter at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Nixon has already played their next game, a 5-1 win against Fox Tech on the 2nd.
