Soccer Recap: Great Hearts Northern Oaks Comes Up Short

Great Hearts Northern Oaks fell victim to Luling and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to the Luling Eagles. The shutout was out of character for the Griffins seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Great Hearts Northern Oaks and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Luling, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1-2.

Great Hearts Northern Oaks will challenge Hondo at 7:15 p.m. on January 21st. Great Hearts Northern Oaks is facing Hondo at the right time seeing as Hondo is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Luling, they will take on Gonzales at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Luling is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.
