Volleyball Recap: Sparta Trojans vs. Marionville Comets
Sparta was the 3-0 winner over Marionville when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Sparta Trojans fell 3-1 to the Marionville Comets on Wednesday.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13, 24-26, 25-13.
Caitlyn Norris paced Sparta's offense, picking up 13 kills. Norris got some help from
Addison Humble and her 13 assists.
Sparta's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-8-3. As for Marionville, their victory was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-5-1.
Sparta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marionville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Miller on the 26th.
