Volleyball Recap: Liberty Union Lions vs. Columbus Academy Vikings
Liberty Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Columbus Academy Vikings. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.
While Liberty Union had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20.
Addyson Sims paced Liberty Union's offense, picking up three kills. Sims got some help from Sophie Sharb and her seven assists.
Liberty Union's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Columbus Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.
Coincidentally, Liberty Union and Columbus Academy will both be playing Northmor the next time they take the court. The Vikings will host the Golden Knights at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
