After starting their season with three straight games on the road, West Texas is finally coming home. They will be defending their home-fieldthey go up against the Tulia Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, West Texas took a blow against Gruver, falling 56-24. The loss was the Comanches' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Tulia had to endure a nine-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Sanford-Fritch on Friday as Tulia made off with a 33-13 win.

The critical scores for Tulia came from Xavier Ortiz, Logan Beccera, and Ethaniel Trevino.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Tulia's defense and their four sacks. Leading the way was Matthew Lopez with 2.5. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Oscar Reyes was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 18 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Having lost for the first time this season, West Texas fell to 2-1. As for Tulia, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
