Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Heritage Christian Academy was the 59-54 winner over Cornerstone Christian when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Heritage Christian Academy Eagles lost to the Cornerstone Christian Chargers at home by a 64-46 margin on Saturday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cornerstone Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Malachi Adams, who posted 26 points and eight rebounds. Those 26 points gave Adams a new career-high. Zeke Adams was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards.

Heritage Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Cornerstone Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.

When Heritage Christian Academy and Cornerstone Christian next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Heritage Christian Academy will face off against Tuscaloosa Christian and their ten-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cornerstone Christian will try to stop Hope Christian Academy's three-game winning streak when the meet at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
