Softball Recap: Hayden Find Success

Hayden posted their closest victory since February 20th on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Oak Mountain Eagles 4-3. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Baylee Scott, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. Brynn Payne was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Hayden was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Hayden now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Oak Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Hayden wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-4 win against Mountain Brook on the 7th. As for Oak Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-0 victory against Dothan on the 7th.
