Lone Jack waltzed into their match on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 60-32 win over the Wellington-Napoleon Tigers. The Mules have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Wellington-Napoleon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cali Russell posted eight points in addition to six assists and four steals. Those six assists gave Russell a new career-high. Brilynn Zykan was another key player, putting up four points and seven rebounds.

Lone Jack's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points over those games. As for Wellington-Napoleon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 15 of their last 18 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season.

Lone Jack does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wellington-Napoleon, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers face off against the Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
