Volleyball Recap: Start Comes Up Short

Start was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sandusky Blue Streaks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Start sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-12, 22-25, 25-16.

Start now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Sandusky, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Start didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Western Reserve on the 13th. As for Sandusky, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Marion Harding on the 13th.
