Volleyball Recap: Soroco Takes a Loss

Soroco lost against Little Snake River back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rams took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rattlers.

While Soroco was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20.

Kolbie Pierce paced Soroco's offense, picking up eight kills. Pierce got some help from Makinly Long and her ten assists. Finally, Pierce was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Soroco suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Little Snake River, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Soroco didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Hayden on the 6th. After both having extra time off, Little Snake River and Encampment will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:00 p.m. on the 23rd. This will be the Rattlers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
