The home team had won the previous seven meetings between New Glarus and Brodhead, and Brodhead kept the tradition alive. The Glarner Knights fell 2-0 to the Cardinals on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Glarner Knights of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Brodhead scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17.

New Glarus' loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Brodhead, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

New Glarus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Parkview on the 6th. As for Brodhead, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Juda on the 6th.
