Flag Football Game Preview: Fairfield Falcons vs. Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles

The Fairfield Falcons will square off against the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Fairfield 7.7, Clayton Valley Charter 7.9) so any points scored will be well earned.

Fairfield's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Johnson 31-0. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won six games by 26 points or more so far this season.

Treasure Johnson was her usual excellent self, rushing for 51 yards and three TDs. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Another reason for the win was Fairfield's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. In that department, Daniela Ilunga was the leader with three. Myisha Johnson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Clayton Valley Charter had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They strolled past the Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 25-6.

Clayton Valley Charter's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Fairfield, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
