Football Recap: Big Springs Charter BSCS Hawks vs. Hill County Wolves
Big Springs Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 27-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hill County Wolves. One positive for the BSCS Hawks, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Big Springs Charter's loss came despite strong showings from Colby Ramos and Juan Mata. Ramos rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while Mata rushed for 13 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave Ramos a new career-high in rushing yards.
Even if they lost, Big Springs Charter's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Rudy Hernandez. He also set a new season high mark in sacks with three. Landon Yaklin was another major factor on D, making 18 total tackles.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Big Springs Charter will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Coastal Christian HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on October 26th. As for Hill County, they will welcome Westlake Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hill County is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
