Soccer Recap: Marathon Comes Up Short

Marathon started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Seton Catholic Central. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Saints who were credited with the win on Saturday. The Seton Catholic Central Saints got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Marathon Olympians' one. The loss was Marathon's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Marathon fell to 18-1-1. As for Seton Catholic Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Marathon nor Seton Catholic Central have any future games scheduled.
