Recap: Laurel Panthers vs. Seven Oaks Classical Firehawks
The Laurel Panthers won the last time they faced the Seven Oaks Classical Firehawks, and things went their way on Friday too. Laurel took their match at home with ease, bagging a 68-40 victory over Seven Oaks Classical. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-19.
Laurel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brayden Gerrian led the charge by scoring 15 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Dominic James, who scored 12 points.
The win got Laurel back to even at 2-2. As for Seven Oaks Classical, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Laurel will head out on the road to face off against Castine Christian at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. As for Seven Oaks Classical, they will be playing at home against Dugger Union at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dugger Union will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 715th, while Seven Oaks Classical is ranked 355th).
