Basketball Recap: Josh Amoah's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Abundant Life Academy over Veritas Christian Academy

Abundant Life Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to Veritas Christian Academy at home by a 47-29 margin. That's two games in a row now that Abundant Life Academy has lost by exactly 18 points.

Abundant Life Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Josh Amoah, who posted six points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Will Perez, who put up two points and nine rebounds.

Aiden Bennett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Veritas Christian Academy, going 11 of 16 on his way to 25 points. The dominant performance gave Bennett a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobby Meara, who had six points and nine boards.

Abundant Life Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Veritas Christian Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
