Basketball Recap: La Porte Slicers vs. Portage Indians
La Porte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Portage Indians. La Porte's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Portage, they moved to 6-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
La Porte didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-29 defeat against South Bend Adams on the 21st. As for Portage, they will be taking part in a tournament against New Prairie at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
