It's playoff time, and Sunnyside had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Pinnacle Pioneers by a score of 6-1 on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Devils sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

SABINO GONZALEZ spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, LUCAS MATA was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. MICHEL MUNIZ was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Sunnyside pushed their record up to 19-8 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pinnacle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-13-1.

As of now, neither Sunnyside nor the Pioneers have any future games scheduled.
