Basketball Game Preview: Rich Rebels vs. St. Joseph Jayhawks

Rich has gone 5-0 against St. Joseph recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rich Rebels will be playing at home against the St. Joseph Jayhawks at 7:00 p.m. Rich has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Saturday, Rich earned a 60-53 win over Manila.

Rich's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carter Hoffman led the charge by going 8 for 10 on his way to 21 points. That's the most points Hoffman has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Ridge Lundgren, who went 7 of 11 en route to 20 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph played a tough match last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Tabiona an easy 58-34 victory. The Jayhawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Rich's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for St. Joseph, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Rich strolled past St. Joseph in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 64-50. Will Rich repeat their success, or does St. Joseph have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
