Eastern hadn't done well against Charlotte recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eastern Quakers had just enough and edged out the Charlotte Orioles 38-35. For the Quakers, this counts as revenge for the 53-13 victory the Orioles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2021.

Despite the loss, Charlotte saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Avery Silvas on her way to 15 points and six boards. That's the most rebounds Silvas has posted since back in February of 2024.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-16. As for Charlotte, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastern will square off against Thurston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Charlotte, they will challenge Fowlerville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Charlotte has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
