Softball Recap: Lone Jack Comes Up Short

After flying high against Butler last Tuesday, Lone Jack came back down to earth. Lone Jack came up short against the Concordia Fighting Orioles on Wednesday, falling 10-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Mules in their meetings with the Fighting Orioles: they've now lost three in a row.

Lone Jack saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Randolph, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Lone Jack's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Concordia, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Lone Jack will square off against Sweet Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Concordia, they will head out to square off against Northwest at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
