Soccer Game Preview: Oak Lawn vs. Evergreen Park

The Oak Lawn Spartans will face off against the Evergreen Park Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Oak Lawn is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Tinley Park just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Evergreen Park kept a clean sheet against Richards on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Bulldogs. Considering Evergreen Park have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Oak Lawn's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2-1. As for Evergreen Park, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Oak Lawn came up short against Evergreen Park in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 5-3. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
