Marked Tree had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 65-63 victory over the Gosnell Pirates on Thursday. The Indians are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight dating back to last season.

Gosnell has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Marked Tree didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-36 win against Crowley's Ridge Academy on the 13th. As for Gosnell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 80-66 victory against Buffalo Island Central on the 13th.
