Basketball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Delta's Winning Streak

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Delta couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 42-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the University Bulldogs on Saturday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their 16-game winning streak.

Defeat or not, Delta got some senior leadership from Taylor Somers and Breezy Huff. Somers dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds, while Huff posted 11 points. Huff is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Paige Kehmeier, who put up six points and four steals.

University got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Addison Harding out in front who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 boards. Janay Kravig was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Delta's loss dropped their record down to 21-7. As for University, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 28-0.

As of now, neither Delta nor University have any future games scheduled.
