Softball Recap: Cousino Extends Winning Streak to Four

Cousino entered their tilt with Sterling Heights on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Stallions 13-1. Considering the Patriots have won four games by more than 11 runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Giavanna Gacaferi was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brook Odziana, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Cousino always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .529 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Cousino's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Sterling Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Cousino will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Stallions: the pair will be back at it again later today.
