Softball Recap: North Summit Comes Up Short

North Summit extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-20. They came up short against the Hunter Wolverines, falling 17-0. If the Braves were looking for revenge after losing 11-0 to the Wolverines when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Hunter, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The result was nothing new for Hunter, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Hunter's part, JORDYN NAPOLES made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. NAPOLES was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 11 matchups.

North Summit wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 17-12 loss against Providence Hall on the 24th. As for Hunter, they will face off against Grand County at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
