Basketball Recap: Russell County Takes a Loss

Russell County lost against Cumberland County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Russell County Lakers took an 87-83 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cumberland County Panthers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (70), the Lakers still had to take the loss.

Russell County's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Cumberland County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Russell County will head out on the road to face off against Metcalfe County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cumberland County, they will be playing at home against Southwestern at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
