Softball Recap: Archie Williams Comes Up Short

Archie Williams lost against Redwood back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Peregrine Falcons fell just short of the Giants by a score of 5-4. The Peregrine Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Archie Williams saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lila James, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Archie Williams' defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Redwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Archie Williams is set to square off against their familiar foe Tamalpais at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Peregrine Falcons 3.4, the Red Tailed Hawks 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Redwood will take on rival Terra Linda at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in the Giants' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Trojans have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
