Gilbert came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the South Aiken Thoroughbreds with a sharp 10-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-0 last Wednesday.

Gilbert's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for South Aiken, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gilbert will head out to take on Midland Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Aiken, they will venture away from home to face off against Gray Collegiate Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
