Basketball Recap: Madison Mohawks vs. Twin Valley South Panthers

In what's become a running theme this season, the Madison Mohawks gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Twin Valley South with a sharp 59-33 victory. Given Madison's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Panthers are ranked 777th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Madison had a senior duo take command as Kylie Wells dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds and Emily Webb scored 19 points along with two steals. Wells is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Malerie Bobbitt, who scored seven points.

Jordan Ritchie and Brylii Day certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Ritchie scored 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Day scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

The win makes it two in a row for Madison and bumps their season record up to 14-5. As for Twin Valley South, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.

Madison will head out on the road to challenge the Indians at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Twin Valley South, they will square off against the Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
