Volleyball Recap: Howell Vikings vs. Eureka Wildcats
Howell lost against Eureka on Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Vikings took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.
Kylie Poinsett paced Howell's offense, picking up nine kills. Poinsett got some help from Grace Thompson and her eight assists. Finally, Elise Pfeiffer kept Howell's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
Leading Eureka to victory were Elise Parker and Reese Rogers. Parker had 16 digs and one assist, while Rogers had seven digs and three aces. That's the most digs Rogers has posted over her last nine contests.
Howell has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15-2 record this season.
