Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Comes Up Short

Grace Christian lost against Summit Christian Academy last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Grace Christian took a 53-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Summit Christian Academy Falcons.

Despite the loss, Grace Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brody Harris posted 15 points and five boards. Harris has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Asher Cicenas was another key player, putting up nine points.

It was another big night for MJ Patton, who shot 43% from the field on his way to 19 points and five assists for Summit Christian Academy. Another player making a difference was Chance Watkins, who had ten points and eight rebounds.

Grace Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Summit Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Grace Christian nor Summit Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
