Baseball Game Preview: South Knox Spartans vs. Linton-Stockton Miners

South Knox is 1-9 against Linton-Stockton since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Spartans will venture away from home to challenge the Miners at 11:00 a.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

South Knox's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Springs Valley by a score of 5-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Linton-Stockton). They blew past White River Valley 17-1 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Miners in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won seven in a row.

South Knox's record now sits at 7-14. As for Linton-Stockton, their record is now 6-10.
