Triton is a perfect 7-0 against Terry Sanford since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Triton Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Terry Sanford Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Triton has eight straight victories, Terry Sanford has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Triton took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Cape Fear, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Triton had just enough and edged out Cape Fear 17-16 on Wednesday. Triton's win was all the more impressive since the Colts were averaging only 2.89 runs allowed on the season.

Meanwhile, Terry Sanford lost 19-1 to Triton on Tuesday. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Triton's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.5 runs. As for Terry Sanford, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Triton took their win against Terry Sanford in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 19-1. Will Triton repeat their success, or does Terry Sanford have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
