Volleyball Recap: Arlington Eagles vs. Lake Stevens Vikings
Arlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Lake Stevens Vikings, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.
The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-15.
Emme Shaffer paced Arlington's offense, picking up nine kills. Shaffer got some help from Grace Armes and her ten assists.
Lake Stevens found their leader in sophomore Audrey Iseminger, who had 14 digs and two aces. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Iseminger.
Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Lake Stevens, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Looking ahead, Arlington will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Jackson at 7:00 p.m. As for Lake Stevens, they will head out to take on Curtis at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
