Minooka proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 14) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since May 11, 2024.

Addisonn Crumly was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Karli McMillin, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4.

Minooka was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .472. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Minooka's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Joliet Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Minooka will head out on the road to take on Lincoln-Way East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Griffins will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Joliet Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Plainfield East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bengals' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Hilltoppers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
