Baseball Recap: Bradley-Bourbonnais Comes Up Short

Bradley-Bourbonnais was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 8-2 to the Lincoln-Way Central Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Monday.

Bradley-Bourbonnais saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eric Rainbolt, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Bradley-Bourbonnais' defeat dropped their record down to 17-17. As for Lincoln-Way Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-10.

Coming up, Bradley-Bourbonnais will venture away from home to take on Marian Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lincoln-Way Central, they will take on Chicago Mt. Carmel at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Caravan will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
