Baseball Recap: Christian Brothers Comes Up Short

Christian Brothers has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.88 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They fell 13-8 to the Briarcrest Christian Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Purple Wave of the 12-11 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Christian Brothers' defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 17-7. As for Briarcrest Christian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9.

While Christian Brothers had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
