Christian Rios and Victor Rivera were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Rios didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Rivera pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rios also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because East Chicago Central is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-9 otherwise. At the plate, Rios went 2-for-3 with five RBI, while Rivera got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Rivera has posted since back in April of 2024.
