Football Recap: Pontotoc Takes a Loss

Pontotoc lost against West Point back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors were beaten by the Green Wave 50-13. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-6.

Pontotoc is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3. As for West Point, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Coming up, Pontotoc will take on Caledonia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for West Point, they will square off against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Green Wave will be up against the Commodores' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.57 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
