Softball Recap: Holly Hill Academy Starts off Right with Win over First Baptist School

Holly Hill Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the First Baptist School Hurricanes. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Taylor Wright made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Wright was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples and three RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holly Hill Academy will host Colleton Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on March 5th. Holly Hill Academy is facing Colleton Prep Academy at the right time seeing as Colleton Prep Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. First Baptist School will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bridges Prep at 5:00 p.m. on March 27th.
