Basketball Game Preview: GEO Next Generation Tigers vs. Dunham Tigers

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

GEO Next Generation is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They took down Slaughter Community Charter 47-31. The Tigers have beaten the Knights the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Knights has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Dunham earned a 39-29 victory over St. John last Wednesday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Eagles are ranked 273rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

GEO Next Generation's record now sits at 21-11. As for Dunham, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

GEO Next Generation came up short against Dunham when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 44-34. Can GEO Next Generation avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
