Softball Recap: Nimitz Takes a Loss

Nimitz and Arlington squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Nimitz had to settle for second. They came up short against the Colts, falling 11-5. The Vikings have struggled against the Colts recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Dani Maloney was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Nimitz's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Arlington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

While Nimitz had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
