Recap: Pinellas Park Patriots vs. Northeast Vikings
This season hasn't been kind to the Pinellas Park Patriots, who are still winless after their fourth game. They had to suffer through a rough 59-29 loss at the hands of Northeast. Pinellas Park has not had much luck with Northeast recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Pinellas Park's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Javien Floyd, who scored 10 points. Adrian Montano was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 5 rebounds.
Pinellas Park's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.7 points per game. As for Northeast, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinellas Park won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Clearwater at 7:45 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Clearwater focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Friday. As for Northeast, they will be playing at home against Osceola at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Osceola focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Wednesday.
