Angleton waltzed into their game on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the La Porte Bulldogs by a score of 8-4. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kadeyn Patin looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Angleton saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklynn Walton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Another was Ambi Linscombe, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Angleton pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for La Porte, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3-1.

Looking ahead, Angleton will be playing in front of their home fans against Friendswood at 6:30 p.m. on March 18th. As for La Porte, they will head out to square off against Ball at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. La Porte's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Ball's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
