Preview: Edison Eagles vs. Justice Wolves
Edison is 10-0 against Justice since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Edison Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Justice Wolves at 7:30 p.m. Edison is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
Last Thursday, Edison strolled past Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology with points to spare, taking the game 50-31. Given Edison's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology is ranked 168th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Justice suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were beaten by Hayfield 57-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Justice has scored all season.
Edison's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. As for Justice, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
Edison strolled past Justice in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 48-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Edison since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
